Amanda Converse

Amanda Converse is the co-founder and Executive Director of Love Live Local, an organization founded in 2013, dedicated to strengthening Cape Cod’s local economy by promoting the importance of supporting small businesses and fostering a thriving community. Through education, advocacy, and direct support, Love Live Local strives to inspire residents and visitors alike to invest in Cape Cod’s unique local businesses and contribute to the sustainable growth of our region.

She was born and raised on Cape Cod and returned to the region after receiving her master’s in public policy from George Washington University in 2005, when she became the Development Director of the Hyannis Main Street Business Improvement District.

Amanda is a lifelong advocate with a passion for community development and a desire to make things better. She is all about sparking positive change and teaming up with others to tackle local challenges in order to create a more inclusive and supportive community for everyone to thrive in.

She is currently the President of the Board of Trustees of the Hyannis Public Library, is a founding Board member of Amplify POC Cape Cod, and sits on the Town of Barnstable’s Local Comprehensive Planning Committee and Barnstable County’s Economic Development Council. She has served on the Boards of the Cape Cod Young Professionals, the Cape Cod Chamber, and Coastal Community Capital, as well as the Town of Barnstable’s Economic Development Commission and Renewable Energy Commission. She was recently named the 2023 Mercy Otis Warren Cape Cod Woman of the Year.
